We’re thrilled to introduce the newest addition to our physician team at Women’s HealthFirst. As of April 27th, Amanda Buck, DO, board-certified OB/GYN, is now seeing patients and bringing her expertise in high-risk obstetrics, minimally invasive surgery, and whole-woman care to our practice.
Dr. Buck’s addition to our team reflects our ongoing commitment to expanding access to exceptional, personalized women’s health care across every stage of life.
Meet Dr. Amanda Buck
Dr. Buck brings a remarkable depth of clinical training, academic achievement, and global service to Women’s HealthFirst. A graduate of Indiana University Bloomington, where she studied Biology on scholarship with minors in Chemistry, Animal Behavior, and Spanish, she went on to earn her medical degree from Des Moines University, where she served as president of the American Medical Student Association.
She completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, where she earned multiple honors, including:
- Excellence in medical student teaching
- Highest score on CREOG examinations
- SLS Outstanding Laparoscopic Resident Surgeon Award (4th year)
Dr. Buck’s commitment to care also extends far beyond the clinic. She has participated in global medical missions serving underserved communities in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Tanzania; an expression of her deep belief that every patient deserves high-quality, compassionate care.
She is fluent in Spanish and is passionate about providing inclusive care to all patients, with focused expertise in high-risk obstetrics, LGBTQ+ health, and minimally invasive surgery.
