Michael J. Eisenberg, MD, FACOG

Dr. Eisenberg is a past Chairman of the Ob/Gyn Department at Northwest Community Hospital. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Rosalind Franklin University, formerly Chicago Medical School. He feels a strong commitment to staying current with the latest research in his field. Attending many seminars on topics such as menopause, hormonal replacement therapy, and abnormal pap smears, he is eager to meet with and discuss this latest information with both new and established patients. Choosing Dr. Eisenberg as your health care provider will show you why we believe that "Our Experience Makes Your Experience Better."

Caring for routine and high risk pregnancies has been a major focus of Dr. Eisenberg’s practice. Further, he has developed a special interest in the treatment of abnormal menstrual bleeding, and most specifically, managing uterine fibroids resulting in abnormal periods. He is considered an expert in diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy, bringing endometrial ablation, an outpatient alternative to hysterectomy, to the Chicago area.

Dr. Eisenberg was an early leader in the use of laser and minimally invasive surgical techniques for the treatment of gynecologic disorders. He has presented lectures and workshops to fellow professionals on such procedures as: operative hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation, hysteroscopic myomectomy and laser laparoscopy.

A Board Certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Eisenberg received his undergraduate degree with Phi Beta Kappa honors from the University of Illinois at Champaign. He went on to complete his medical training at the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine, and served his residency at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago.

Dr. Eisenberg and his wife have three children and are new grandparents. When he is not working, he’s working at golf, and enjoying tennis.
